The carriage that this barrel sits on is made from an exotic purple heart wood. The wood naturally has a purplish tint to it contrasting with the polished barrel. The strapping is hammered copper fixed with brass nails.
The barrel is an exact 1:3.5 scale reproduction from an original cannon recovered from the wreck of the Hollandia which sank in 1743.
100 of these barrels will be made 45 of which will be finished in this manner. Each one numbered with a certificate of authenticity
