The carriage that this barrel sits on is made from an exotic Jatoba wood. The wood has a look and feel very similar to Teak. The strapping is hammered copper fixed with brass nails.
The barrel is an exact 1:3.5 scale reproduction from an original cannon recovered from the wreck of the Hollandia which sank in 1743.
100 of these barrels will be made 35 of which will be finished in this manner. Each one numbered with a certificate of authenticity
This cannon will fire a golf ball making a noise similar to a firecracker.
I recommend this cannon for someone who plans on firing often. The more its fired the better it looks, to clean simply rinse with water and oil the wood
